Modern Slavery Statement & ESG / CSR Report

1. Modern Slavery Statement

Ballia Corpus is committed to preventing modern slavery, forced labour and human trafficking in our business and supply chains. We recognise that the manufacturing and agricultural sectors involved in producing nutraceuticals, dietary supplements, organic cosmetics and personal care products may be at heightened risk for labour exploitation. This statement outlines our efforts to identify, prevent and address modern slavery risks.

  1. Policies and Governance. Our Code of Conduct explicitly prohibits forced labour, child labour, debt bondage and involuntary servitude. All employees, contractors and suppliers must adhere to these standards. Senior management is responsible for oversight of anti‑slavery efforts.

  2. Risk Assessment. We identify parts of our supply chain that may carry higher risks by considering country‑specific indicators (such as corruption indexes, labour law enforcement and known exploitation hotspots) and industry‑specific risks (e.g., agricultural production, raw material extraction). We prioritise high‑risk sources of plant‑based or botanical ingredients and other raw materials used in our nutraceutical, dietary supplement, organic cosmetics and personal care products.

  3. Supplier Due Diligence. Before onboarding suppliers, we evaluate them for compliance with labour and human rights standards. We require suppliers to complete questionnaires and sign declarations regarding their compliance with anti‑slavery laws and ethical labour practices. Where necessary, we conduct audits or request certifications that demonstrate adherence to standards.

  4. Training. We train procurement teams, sourcing managers and relevant staff on recognising signs of forced labour and human trafficking. This awareness helps them identify and address concerns during procurement and site visits.

  5. Remediation. If we identify instances of modern slavery or human trafficking in our operations or supply chain, we will work with the supplier or relevant authority to take corrective action, including remediation of victims, contract termination and reporting to authorities.

  6. Monitoring and Reporting. We track progress in our anti‑slavery efforts and report significant measures to stakeholders. Any concerns may be reported confidentially through our Whistle‑blower & Grievance Redressal channels.

  7. Board Approval and Review. This statement is reviewed annually and, when required, approved by the board of directors or equivalent governing body. Updates reflect changes in law, supply chain risk and our continuous improvement initiatives.

2. Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) / Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report

Ballia Corpus integrates sustainability and social responsibility into its business strategy. Our ESG / CSR initiatives encompass environmental stewardship, social responsibility and ethical governance, reflecting our commitment to long‑term value creation.

  1. Environmental Initiatives.

    • We have implemented energy‑efficient production equipment and process improvements that reduce resource consumption and emissions.

    • Waste is minimised through recycling programmes and responsible disposal. We encourage reuse of materials where practical.

    • Packaging materials are chosen for their recyclability and reduced environmental impact. Efforts are made to adopt biodegradable or compostable materials where feasible.

    • We monitor our carbon footprint and set targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions associated with manufacturing and logistics. Whenever possible, we evaluate renewable energy sources and offset mechanisms.

  2. Social Initiatives.

    • We foster safe and healthy working conditions for employees and provide ongoing training to enhance skills, safety awareness and career growth.

    • We engage with local communities through education, health and well‑being programmes. We support initiatives that promote nutrition, wellness and livelihood development, especially in rural areas where raw materials are sourced.

    • We promote diversity and inclusion within our workforce and require the same commitment from our partners.

    • We invest in research and development to create safer, higher quality products that benefit consumers without compromising social or environmental principles.

  3. Governance Initiatives.

    • Our governance structure includes clear lines of accountability for compliance, risk management and ethical conduct. Senior leadership is responsible for overseeing ESG and CSR strategies.

    • Policies governing conflicts of interest, anti‑corruption, gifts and entertainment are strictly enforced. We prohibit bribery and maintain transparent records.

    • We monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance with international and domestic laws (including food safety, pharmaceutical regulations, labour standards and environmental laws). Risk assessments are conducted regularly.

    • We report on ESG and CSR performance to stakeholders, including clients, investors, employees and regulators, demonstrating transparency and accountability.

  4. Stakeholder Engagement.

    • We seek feedback from clients, employees, suppliers and community members to understand their concerns and expectations. Stakeholder dialogue informs our strategy and helps us address material issues.

    • Partnerships with non‑governmental organisations, industry groups and academic institutions foster knowledge exchange and innovation in sustainability and social impact.

  5. Continuous Improvement.

    • We set measurable targets for our ESG and CSR performance and review progress regularly. Our objectives evolve to reflect emerging best practices, technological advances and stakeholder priorities.

    • Each year, we evaluate our policies and programmes to identify areas for improvement and to celebrate achievements.
